No language can express the power and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mothers love.
- Edwin Hubble Chapin
My most fondest memories of my mama are more emotional than an actual memory itself. Taking walks around the neighborhood and on the boardwalk with her was a biggie I loved! However, mostly it was a feeling and experience of what my mamas love meant. As I grew older I appreciated how hard my mama worked to give me the things I loved so much. Roller skates, an Easy Bake oven, hot pink corduroy Osh Kosh B'Gosh pants, my Rainbow Brite, Cabbage Patch and Strawberry Shortcake dolls, a "Fame" lunchbox, the latest LA Gears, Cheerleading expenses...I'll stop there. Later in my adult hood I acknowleged her more, not so much for the material things but for how amazingly blessed I am that I had a present mama. One who played with me, one who made sure I was and looked well taken care of, did my laundry (and still will), who did my hair in pretty braids, who cleaned up after me, cooked for me, kept me squeaky clean, made sure my wicked homework was done. Looking back, it seemed like those were just the little things and I know I took them for granted.
Today I realize, in actuality the little things were major things.
It is only now that I am a mother myself, that I totally get it! Wow! Light-bulb for real!
A mothers love is priceless and I am soooo thankful I had a good absolutely divine one.
One whom I learned the best from.
Mama, you are kind and humble. I am in awe of your patience and the sacrifices you always make for your children. You are strong, wise and sensitive. You are made up of super woman and all that exudes beauty inside and out. Your light shines so bright. Thank Heaven God made you a mama.
Motherhood looks stunning on you.
I love you mama and happy beautiful birthday!
Thank you for everything you are. I am who I am because of you.
