Precious Moments

I love capturing life's smallest moments, which later prove to be the most precious. The photo above was taken when my little guy was 7 months. I am so glad I actually made the effort to find the camera while sleep deprived to take it! I admit, I may not have time to write a blog as often as I would like but I make it a priority to click away with my Canon or even just my camera phone (which is just as sufficient). Over the course of my sons 15 months of life I have seen how quickly it truly does fly by! The months turn into years and before you know it, your child is unlocking the front door and fearlessly walks into the world of curiosity, uncertainty, wonder, and adventure (yes, my child did just that, at 14.5 months).  Seriously, it is completely mandatory for me to have a picture that I can hold on to for as long as I live to remember the precious moments. As I feel it is equally important to try to scratch paper/post-it note/journal/blog some of it all down to reminisce on those thoughts, visions, and images. Of course, when we actually discover we only have 2 minutes of time to squeeze writing into our schedules. I mean lets face it, (momma readers) were lucky if we even jot down whats needed on the grocery list. I know! But no... really, looking back and remembering those sometimes frazzled feelings and fascinating experiences of it all, is so edifying.
Ohhh, the journey of motherhood in all it's exhausting but joyfully entertaining glory.

(Deep sigh, deep smile) We couldn't be more in love with our little ones.

Until JM's next nap time.

What Summer is made of

Samson

This snapshot was taken on a sunny afternoon where I scheduled a playdate with my son Josiah Marley and one of his best buddies Samson. Samson is the child of  a beautiful British mummy and handsome Peruvian father. The meaning of the name Samson is " Man of the Sun".  This little guy's smile and personality is just that. Samson is a 2 foot tall package, full of life and sunshine.
A snapshot of his eyes lights up our world...and my Canon.
