Motherhood is filled with such sweetness even through all its twists and turns, sleepless nights, and constant urges to wake at EVERY tiny sound to see if your wee one is still breathing. Oh the memories. The days are long but the years are short. I think one of the most precious times in a mothers life is the infant/newborn stage. Your heart fills up bigger than you could have ever imagined, and its core is pure love.

I was extremely blessed to capture a dear friends precious, and first newborn baby girl, Isabella. Welcome to the world sweet princess!

Where The Wild Things Are

There is something so magical in the classic children's book "Where The Wild Thing Are" and it so happens to be me and my little mans favorite read.  Sooooo...my mama and photog juices started flowing, my credit card was charged to Pottery Barn Kids for the costume, and off we went as soon as it arrived in the mail. We took our love of the Wild Things story outdoors to Cedar Grove Park in Irvine, Ca. A jewel of a location that has a forrest nearby. It was perfect! As soon as I put Josiah in costume, my sweet boy instantly transformed into Max, King of all wild things!  It was so amazing.

 I would say things from the book  like "Let the wild rumpus start!" from behind the lens and Max was brought to life! Josiah aka Max was roaring, pretending and imagining in character and I was clicking and voi-la!! My heart and my camera have never been so awakened by such loveliness and reverie.
