The Grand Del Mar - San Diego | Wedding Photography

This is one stunning bride.
One handsome groom. His glance is at his bride. Classic. I love this.

This is the lovely couple. I mean really...can you say adorable love birds? *chirp-chirp*

And this is the oh la la moment. Such a sexy silhouette.

Happy Monday Jazzy Readers,

Its been less than 24 hours since I've finished photographing one grand wedding in beautiful San Diego. Sure I'm a bit exhausted but I was kinda dying to get my hands on these photo's to share them with you all. JM is napping and mama is editing, working, and blogging. Such is life. Multitasking and motherhood go hand in hand. So let's do this!

Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity of shooting with Nichanh Nicole  & Faith Cherisse Photography at The Grand Del Mar. One word. Aaaamazingness. (Correction, one made up word).
Yes, you may find that from time to time, this girl likes to write words that you won't find in the dictionary. But hey, don't judge and just roll with it. :-)

Okay, so I had never been to this hotel and I was completely blown away. As soon as you turned into the entranceway, you could certainly feel the grandness of it all. I couldn't wait to begin snapping at such a romantic location. The combination of a lovely bride, a dapper groom and a couple of fabulous photographer's made the experience that much more grand.

These two lovebirds were such a stunning and beautiful couple together and made taking pictures of all their jazziness easy breezy. The bride had these exotic eyes, and the groom had such a genuine smile. No, the sun never showed up, but their love lit the way. Capturing their affection for each other and documenting their BIG day was such a joy.

Oh, how I am so thankful to be able to do what I do. I am whole heartedly, sooooo in love with photographing love in all it's beautiful, crazy, silly, emotional, endearing aaaamazingness!

May you do what you love today. Even if it includes making up words along the way.

Keep it jazzy & genuine.

Disneyland Engagement Session | Mama & OC Photographer Perk

Since becoming a mother and moving to Orange County, I must admit the greatest perk has been having Disneyland in my backyard! We are annual pass holders and it definitely brings out the kid in me. Between myself and my son I don't know who's more excited to snap a picture and hi-5 our favorite Disney characters. Recently I got the opportunity to shoot a fun-loving couple who has a special place in their hearts for Disneyland too. What better place than the Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate and capture their love! It was a great shoot and I'll be looking forward to capturing Natalie and Kevin's wedding in September with Jamie Davis Photography. Stay tuned!

Have a happy, goofy and fabulous weekend all!

The Wind Carried The Rest Away

It was the day we laughed so hard
we made the lillies bloom

I was twenty something
it was cool and crisp

we were running like gazelles
a game of hide and go seek
happiness all balled up in our hearts
shooting out of us in shrieks and bellows

I'm a lioness
she declared

and I decided I was too

a she-roic lioness
with nothing to do
but chase the wind

they say it whips you in the face
but this isn’t how it works
if you run hard enough
the wind bores right into you

I don’t remember anything else
except the smell of the sea, sand & salt h20
sweet as chocolate

the wind carried the rest away.
