Embracing Today

Dear Life,

I have a complete grasp that you are not fair. So please stop teaching me lessons...okay fine, teach me lessons but help me get it sooner before the hard way hits. Thanks.

Dear Everyone,

Thanks for understanding and bearing with me. I'm learning as I go along and I'm not perfect. I appreciate your patience and I love you.

Dear Sweet Baby Jesus,

Please help me to be kinder than I feel.

So its been one helluva week and I have no better word to use than helluva. So there it is. Life is one hell of a roller coaster. Ups, downs, imperfections, flaws, lessons learned... all bundled up in a rubber band of mistakes where some bounce around totally getting through the perils of life unscathed and other times bouncing into a wall. WHACK! And your just all jacked up! That's what totally happened to me. The jacked up, whack part. The part where you learned something the hard way but thank God the light bulb turned on and by golly you still learned. That's what matters. So today I'm embracing the mess. Embracing the lessoned I learned because that's what's important. I'm also counting my blessings. Which I am guilty of not doing enough. There are so many things and people in my life that I am so thankful for. I mean I have thankfulness running all through me.  Thankful to be able to be at home with my little love and not miss a beat of his precious milestones. Thankful I have a team of lovely people riding the wave of patience and perseverance throughout my jazzy journey and thankful to be able to do what I love. Look through a lens and create something beautiful for someone else. That's the high of roller coaster rides and experiencing lows sometimes makes me lose sight of that. Booooo-hoooo. Such is life. However, I am embracing today, riding the wave, putting my big girl panties on and wearing a thick skin of thankfulness.
Sure, I fall short but I am strong because I am weak and I am wise because I have been foolish. And guess what else?!  I can bake a pretty good cupcake and walk in 4 inch heels but let me assure you I cannot walk on water. So listen, I guess what I'm getting at is this. I'm just a girl entirely made of flaws stitched together with good intentions, trying to develop from the negatives. Trying to figure it all out with a little help from my friends, family, and PHD holders. And if you can relate or it's been one of those weeks, or times of the month for you too, just keep swimming. This too shall pass. If you can put one foot in front of the other then hey, you go girl...or boy! You. Me. Were well on our way!

And that's all I got.

Lord have mercy on this jazzy little firecracker.

L.O.V.E

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore
and Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/n/nat+king+cole/love_20805479.html ]
Have a lovely day.

Something Great Is Born

Well hello there jazzy friends!

It's awesome time! Today is a pretty phenomenal day for me as I didn't have to go through 11.5 hours of labor but birthed a beautiful baby. Hee-hee-whoooooo! My website is alive! All mama's probably say this but my honey child is really a looker. Easy on the eyes, healthy fonts, and just overall something great. I believe it's not about having great ideas, it's about making great ideas happen. And there you have it folks... Tuesday's fresh chicken nugget for ya. First ones free. You all come back now, ya hear?
Okay, I'm on one. Forgive me. Just a little crazy excited to share what I love with the world.

Thank you tons to the genius behind it all. Have I told you how epic this is? Much kudos and many thanks bro!

I love it and hope you all do too. Its been a long time coming but such is life, growth, and progress.

Thank you to the beautiful ones who supported, encouraged and trusted me behind the lens when I was shooting in Auto mode! OMG! I know, shame on me.
To my family and friends who believed and invested in me every step of the way. Your so full of awesome, it ain't even funny.
To my little love, who thank GAWD isn't camera shy. My inspiration from where it all began. Sweet baby boy, mama loves you and so does the camera. Oh, the places you'll go.

So go ahead lovelies, grab a tea or coffee or whatever you fancy and stay awhile, why dont'cha?
Feel free to peruse, navigate and tell me what you think. It's simple. It's me. It's jazzy. It's genuine. It's right here and it's still growing.

Boooo-yaaah! <-----------No idea where that came from.

Enjoy :-)

Remember, you are worthy of your dreams.

Father's Day & Fist Pumps

It's Father's Day and I'm giving a virtual fist pump to ALL the wonderful dad's who support and sacrifice for their families. The ones who teach, grow and love their sons and/or daughters the way only a daddy can. Thank you for setting examples your children and other's.

May your day be filled with all the unconditional love your arms and heart can hold.

To my dearest dad

Thank you for imprinting on my heart at an early age how a man is supposed to treat a woman. For setting the bar high, for being my role model, for being the dad I was meant to have. Thank you for picking me up after EVERY football game, cheer practice and track meet so I wouldn't get in " HS trouble". For being hard on me about academics since it was for my "own good". Thank you for being protective but still giving me the freedom to be Jazzy... and even in my thirties calling me your duchess. I love you and am so grateful to have been raised by such a strong and amazing father.

"Move Over, Bruno Mars!"

Mama & papa are sooo proud of you little love, oh the places you'll go!!

I am BEYOND thrilled to announce that my work AND my precious son is featured in the June issue of OC Family magazine!! Whaaaat?! Whaaaat?! Double whammy of a blessing indeed. Yes, I pretty much snatched EV-ER-Y mag at the bookstore. Yea, this is kind of a BIG deal. Funny, since moving to Orange County from San Diego a couple years ago, picking up OC Mag has consistently been part of my monthly reading routine. It has always been my saving grace to check out happening events to get involved in with me and the sidekick, read the latest and greatest mommy blogs, and feel encouraged by articles like Toddler Habits: When To Worry And When To Relax. Ahhhhh, by the way I'm totally relaxed! Thank you!
Really, to actually see my inspiration, my designer genes in print, reaching hundreds of readers possibly saying "awww, isn't he adorable?" is pretty darn cool. Alright, I'm in full blown mom-tog ego mode. Someone please stop me and pop my HUGE head which is currently floating to the moon. I know, I know but c'mon can you blame a jazzy mama? Okay seriously, I am absolutely grateful and I am totally framing this. That is all.

For more photos from where this came from, check out my February blog archive.

For feel good music, listen to the cool, carefree cat they call Bruno Mars...who needs to move over... :-)

Happy summer and happy reading pg. 130 of OC Family magazine on stands now.
